Makeup tips for photography

-apply makeup as you normally would for evening wear adding the tips below
-you want to apply more than normal though
-think contrast (a darker lipstick, defined eyes, etc.)
-use concealer, especially under eyes and and over blemishes
-use powder all over including the neck
-do not forget about your neck, you do not want a defined line between your face and neck
-stay away from glitter and really shinny makeup (a little gloss is OK)
-blush is very helpful to define the shape of the face

Recently, Susan Ludwil, Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics has been coming with me on some photo shoots and helping women with their makeup for free. Her work is amazing! She has a lot of great advice. She is available to help you too if you would like a free consultation before a photo shoot with Gaillyn Photography.
